Dongguan vegetables already account for 40% of the Hong Kong intake and the percentage of vegetables that meet the regulatory standards is stable at a very high level.
Professors and lecturers from Huanan Agricultural University and members of the Guangdong CPPCC point out that Dongguan vegetables for Hong Kong are widely known and admired - especially for their organic range. Every day, a total of 900 tons of vegetables are exported to Hong Kong and the proportion of vegetables meeting the standards from tested samples remains at the extraordinarily high level of 99%.
