Pumpkins with a face from the Skagit River Valley

Planted between the beautiful Puget Sound and the rugged North Cascade mountain range, Bay Baby Produce is located in the Skagit River Valley in Washington state. “This area is one of the most fertile growing regions in North America,” says Hollie Manier with Bay Baby Produce.

Organic
Bay Baby Produce, originally AMF Farms, started out in 1999 with just 30 acres of soil, and an idea to give pumpkins a personality by painting a face on them. Today, the company grows about 350 acres consisting of miniature pumpkins, pie baking pumpkins, and an assortment of ornamental pumpkins. “In the last five years we’ve expanded our business to include organic winter squash. In 2016 we planted over 70 acres of organic land,” Manier added.

This summer was sunny with little rain, which is a great climate for the pumpkins and winter squash. “Everything is ready on time and plentiful,” according to Manier. “We are looking forward to the upcoming season!” Shipping starts Labor Day weekend and goes through the end of October for painted product and ornamental pumpkins. Organic winter squash will be ready mid-September and ship until the end of December depending on availability.
