Vietnam export to China skyrockets

According to a report by the Vietnamese customs main bureau, the Vietnamese fruit and vegetable export to China increased with over 218% in the first half of 2016. The total worth of the export is almost 803.8 million USD. China is still the main export destination of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables with a share of almost 70% in the first half of 2016. The main fruit varieties that are exported to the Chinese market are watermelon, dragon fruit and longan fruit. 

Vietnam's exports in the first half of 2016 was 1.16 billion USD. That is an increase of 31.22% compared to the same period last year. According to disclosed information from the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, Vietnamese fruits and vegetables are exported to 40 different countries and regions around the globe.
