August 25
Great response to first British Herbs Field Day
The first British Herbs field day has already attracted over fifty attendees from the industry and looks to be one of the “must attend” events this year for anyone involved in UK herb production. The event is being hosted by R&G Herbs at Millets Farm Centre, Frilford Oxfordshire on the 25th August.
The morning session will be held at the Centre and includes presentations on basil downy mildew, bio control, oomycete management and responsibly sourced growing media. In the afternoon there will be a tour of the herb production at Millets Herbs and then demonstrations on mustards for soil management, soils, precision spraying, irrigation sensing and the Soil Association GREAT Soils project.
There are still some places available and to book for the event contact Brooke Lovelock at British Herbs on 01507 353785 or email brooke.lovelock@britishgrowers.org. Delegate rates are £25 for British Herb members and £45 for non-British Herbs members. Student delegates are welcome free of charge.
