Exclusive distribution contract between Esasem and Sakata

Seed companies Sakata Vegetables Europe Sas and Esasem Spa subscribed a new contract for the exclusive distribution of Sakata products on the Italian territory.

Sakata was founded in Japan in 1920 by Takeo Sakata and currently has 16 research centres all over the world for breeding and experimentation purposes. The Sakata Vegetables European branch is located in Uchaud, in southern France. Products are sold in EMEA countries thanks to subsidiaries and local distributors.

Sakata's slogan is "Passion in seed", words that express the company's philosophy of considering seeds their main interest.

Esasem is an Italian company established in 1988 producing and commercialising vegetable seeds through a wide range of agents.

Trustworthy partners are the only way to guarantee a high-quality and reliable service to our clients and to face future challenges."

"This contract represents a way of supplying operators with products of the highest quality. Thanks to the experience of our sales team made up of skilled agronomists, we can assist our clients so they can take full advantage of the products," added Esasem President Gianni Gatto.

Numerous Sakata vegetables have now become reference varieties, like for example Savoy King and Cape Horn cabbage, Marathon and Green Belt broccoli and even Naxos and Parthenon broccoli.

Esasem is also distributing other Sakata products which are very popular abroad but still relatively unknown in Italy, such as butternut squash and pak choi.

Thanks to this new agreement, Sakata and Esasem are certain they can grow considerably on the Italian market and meet the needs of the professional vegetable production chain.
