Adrie Vermeulen appointed new Chairman of Agrico Potato Coop
On June 17, Board of Members of the Agrico potato cooperative appointed Mr Adrie Vermeulen as chairman of the board commencing on December 20, 2016.
Mr Vermeulen will take over the chairman’s gavel from Mr Jan Wolthuis on December 20. Mr Wolthuis has been chairman of the cooperative since 2011. In accordance with the statutes he is scheduled to resign in December and cannot be reappointed.
Adrie Vermeulen became a member of the former Board of Governors of Agrico in 2011, and has been vice-chairman of the board of the cooperative since 2014.
Adrie Vermeulen lives in Swifterbant where he has an arable farm.
Agrico is a potato collective that breeds, grows, purchases, processes and markets about 500 000 tons of potatoes every year.
Commercial and administrative operations are run from the main office in Emmeloord. Agrico also works, through its subsidiaries and holdings, in countries such as France, the United Kingdom, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Canada, Romania, Turkey, Kenia and Slovenia, with representatives in almost all seed potato-importing countries
