Spanish firm Codiagro setting foothold in Peru with new distributor

Founded in 1978 as a marketer of agricultural inputs, Codiagro soon started a career as a producer. Over the years, it attracted professionals who have played an important role in global agriculture, who have developed products that were different to those offered by other companies for years.

"That was the basis for the company's line of work and this is how we ended up focusing on the manufacture of phytonutrients that are capable of altering the physiology of the plant in a natural way to achieve positive results or pinpoint physiological processes that may be affected naturally by stress conditions," he explains.

One of the main innovations that Codiagro is making available to Peruvian producers is the AMEC® molecule, developed after years of experience working with carboxylic acids, and which is currently at the heart of several of the company's products.

According to Antonio Andreu, the AMEC® is obtained from the selection of a series of low molecular carboxylic acids, which are simple and highly reactive, inducing temporary changes in plants and which, when used in repeated applications, lead to a greater plant biomass and consequently a higher yield and optimal response to adverse environmental conditions.

Furthermore, AGRO LAND SRL will also distribute a liquid calcium flow marketed worldwide: MAGNIFIC Ca FLOW®, which is manufactured under a Codiagro patent.
