ADB Cool Company doubles capacity with 5,500 new pallet places

At the start of 2016 ADB Cool Company from 's-Gravenzande started with an expansion of over 5,500 new pallet places. The total transshipment capacity will double and 24 truck will be able to load and unload at the same time. With this state of the art cooling and freezing area divided over 8 new cooling cells with innovative mobile structures, the storage space for pallets increases by 30%. There will also have been an extension in the ripening capacity and the number of packaging machines will be extended.



"With this expansion we will be able to better serve current and new customers in the increasing need for high quality storage capacity and custom made solutions," says Alex de Bruijn, Managing Director of ADB. ADB Cool Company, which has been a part of AGRO Merchants Group since 2014, is building according to the BREEAM sustainability concept. The sustainability of the new building is measured with the now obtained BREEAM-NL EXCELLENT certificate and judged on nine different aspects: management, health, energy, transport, water, materials, waste, land use and ecology and pollution. This makes BREEAM an integral sustainability brand.



ADB Cool Company has an extensive supply of services that consist of repackaging, quality inspections, netting, flow packing and cutting grapes. The company has various quality certificates including IFS Logistics, SKAL and AEO. The completion is planned for October 2016.
