Turatti introduces automated spiralizer

Turatti Group will introduce its new machine at the forthcoming edition of United Fresh in Chicago (to be held from June 20 to June 22).

At stand #2400, they will be showcasing the new model Streamer that cuts hard fruits and vegetables into noodle-like or spaghetti shapes. The Model Streamer is designed to automatically obtain a wide range of spiralized products, with different shapes and sizes.

The vegetables and hard fruits are fed into the loading system where they are held before being conveyed to the cutting station (this permits a seamless automatic operation, which cannot be achieved with the small commercial kitchen tools). The cutting station is composed of a series of multiple cutting heads. Different shapes can be made, including “Spaghetti”, “Tagliatelle”, and ribbons, from products including carrots, zucchini, cucumbers, broccoli stalk, and butternut squash.

The unit is currently nominated for the 2016 Produce Innovation Awards competition. Also, a newer version of the Strawberry Capper (award-winning unit in the same competition in 2014) will be presented.
