Ramafrut markets first Senegalese mangoes Spain

Last Friday, Ramafrut began distributing Senegalese mangoes under the (m) brand. The Spanish company began the first phase of distribution of this product in the markets of Barcelona, Madrid, Zaragoza, Valencia and Granada.

The first mangos from Senegal of the Ramafrut company arrived in Spain last Friday. Jose Cardenas, the head of this project, said the company's first step to distribute this product in the Spanish market had been to bring two containers of Senegalese mangoes which were distributed to Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Valencia, and Granada.

Ramafrut will produce and distribute the mangoes under the (m) brand. The company's goal is to "create a quality brand in mango imports, since there are no reference brands in this sense," said Cardenas.

Ramafrut's quality standard is similar to the standards used by Spain. We "want consumers to have the same degree of satisfaction they have with the mango produced in Spain," said Cardenas.

The production of Senegalese mango begins in June and ends in September and October, just as the mango from Spain. According to Cardenas, transporting the mangoes to Spain takes five days, which is why they harvest them when they are near their ideal ripening point, so that they arrive in Spain when they have the best taste.

Ramafrut will start distributing the (m) mangoes in the aforementioned markets. However, the company's goal is to start selling them to Spanish chains within the second phase and, in the future, to start exporting them to the markets near Spain.

One of the first wholesalers to have this mango was Fruites Llonch, a company belonging to the Gava Group. Sales Executive, Isaac Garzon, highlighted the quality of the product.
