The Borough Works

Fresh food branding agency launches at London Produce Show

The Borough Works is a new name in the world of creative design and branding for fresh food and drink. Yet the agency’s roots stretch back to 2004 when it launched as Arbor Creative. Well known for specialising in just the fresh food and drink sectors, Arbor Creative’s services spanned branding, packaging design, experiential marketing, digital and social media, promotional campaigns, public relations, consumer research, food photography and recipe development.

The name change came about when the agency relocated from Chiswick to Borough, coincidentally just a stone’s throw from that other melting pot of food innovation, Borough Market. The transition from old to new has been seamless, and the agency is now looking to build on a client list that includes such well known names as M&S, Tesco, Kanzi® and Jaffa.

“We use our experience and expertise to put fresh food and drink central to consumers’ and retailers’ thinking,” says creative director, Sue Hurst. “The sector is not like established and sophisticated grocery lines, so we can really find new and innovative ways to push fresh produce, such as promotions, roadshows and PR, and of course developing brands. It’s all about applying the power of good, multi-channel branding to get tongues wagging among health-conscious shoppers.”
