Increase in China's fruit, veg export to Russia

Even though Nabiullina, chairwoman of the central bank of Russia, believes that the Russian economy started recovering and growing only this quarter, the Sino-Russian trade already showed signs of halted depression and a new rise, and it was maintained until April and May.

According to published data of the customs general administration, the Sino-Russian trade has been growing continuously for two months. Growth in March exceeded 20%, and total first quarter growth increased by 3.6%. In April, the Sino-Russian trade continued to grow by 16%.

Based on the data of the border port of Erenhot, the value of exported fruits passing there during this years first quarter was 138 500 USD, 3.74 times more than the same period last year. The data of the border port of Manzhouli show that 43,103 tons of fruit were exported through this border port in the first quarter of 2016, worth 30.6 million USD. That is 1.5 times more than last year. The inspection and quarantine bureau of Manzhouli also stated that because of the good harvest of Chinese fruits, the purchasing price has dropped significantly when compared to last year's same period.
