Fourth generation of Levarht hits 'second' first pole into the ground
On Wednesday June 1 the second phase of the expansion of the Levarht building started. This happened during a social family gathering, at which three generation of Levahrt were present. The honour of hitting the first pole of the second phase of the new building of the family company, active in Aalsmeer for over 80 years, fell to Max, Frank's son, as a representative of the fourth generation.
In August last year the first pole for the first phase was driven into the ground in the company of all colleagues. With the expansion the total company surf of Levarht will be 27,000 metres with 45 loading and unloading docks in total. This grants their wish of being able to set the right storage temperature in the cooling cells separately to be able to store the wide product assortment even better. The new building will be completed at the end of this year.
"I have faith, both in driving the pole into the ground we'll see how the rest goes," said Huub Levarht in a short speech. Young Max - promoted to constructor by his father - celebrated the festive start after driving in the first pole by lighting decorative fireworks.
