The greenhouse company’s SUNSET® Angel Sweet® led the way with top honors and an incredible evaluation from the ITQI.
“Angel Sweet® has been our fastest growing grape tomato,” shared CEO Paul Mastronardi. “We’re thrilled that it took the highest honour at this year’s evaluation.”
An award also went to SUNSET® Flavor Bombs™, which have taken the Midwest by storm this past year. The Michigan-grown cherry tomato has quickly become a must-have for local foodies looking for an exceptionally sweet snack.
R’orange Crunch™, one of SUNSET’s newest products, was awarded as well. Featuring citrusy flavor and an irresistible crunch, this unique new cherry tomato is bound to be a summertime favorite.
Products are judged based on a number of factors including appearance, aroma, texture, and of course, taste. Several hundred food and beverage brands participate in the ITQI Awards each year. Past award-winning SUNSET® products include Kumato®, Campari®, Zima® and One Sweet® tomatoes.
