Mexico, Kuwait to cooperate in agriculture

The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) stated that the governments of Mexico and Kuwait had pledged to promote cooperation activities in the agricultural and fisheries sectors.

The terms of the cooperation were established in an agreement signed by the head of SAGARPA, Jose Calzada, and Tawfeeq Al-Haddad, Kuwait's Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources.

Through the agreement, both countries plan to strengthen research, exchange of information and scientific data to support the development of agriculture, livestock, and fisheries in each country.

"The agreement also includes the implementation of joint programs and research projects, seminars, conferences, workshops, and training programs," stated the SAGARPA.
