Chinese dragon fruit industry has a bright future

Dragon fruits are more and more appreciated by Chinese consumers. Especially in recent years, red fleshed dragon fruit is becoming more popular than white fleshed dragon fruit. Compared with Vietnamese dragon fruit, red-fleshed dragon fruit that grow in China have the following advantages: they have better maturity levels and sell better in China with their good look, longer shelf life and faster logistics.

Recently Hainan Dragon Fruit Industry Association organized a meeting among all the key dragon fruit organizers. They mainly talked about how to boost the brand building process and industrial development in China. Mr. Zou Zhongjia, the president of this Association said: "dragon fruits that grow on Hainan island are reputed with their top quality, and we have a lot of opportunities to win the market if we can scale up the current level, and bring in the industrial standards while continuing to build up dragon fruit brands."

With the government support, Hainan Dragon Fruit Industry Association will strengthen its role in guidance, meaning that they will support enterprises in dragon fruit trademark registration and quality certification. In the long term, they hope to expand the brand awareness of Hainan dragon fruits.
