Cherry price drops in China

This year, the fruit market in China has been showing a relatively slow trend, but some time ago, it was the cherry that remained in the top price position. Recently, thanks to the listings of Shandong cherries, its price has dropped nearly 50%, making it more affordable for mass consumers.

Looking at Beijing Xinfadi Wholesale Market, the fruit wholesalers mainly sell two cherry varieties: cherries that are from Dalian city, and cherries that are from Shandong province. Dalian cherries are sold between 90-100 Yuan per kilo, while Shandong cherries are sold at a much cheaper price, between 20-40 Yuan per kilo. Recently the prices of these two cherry varieties have continued to drop.
According to experiences in previous years, when more and more Shandong cherries come to the market, its price will decline.
