Fruit trees in Poland got through spring well

This year there were plentiful blossoming trees across the country, announced the Polish fruit cultivation expert Eberhard Makosz at the NFO. Ligol, Gloster and Jonagold show a less bright picture compared to last year. At the end of June Makosz will have the first harvest estimate. The Polish market analyst Mariusz Dziwulski at BNP Paribas Bank reports the same picture. According to the first evaluation the fruit trees in Poland got through spring well and there was little night frost damage. The night frost damage was also limited in South Tirol, Germany, the Netherlands, Belorussia and the Ukraine according to Makosz. In Austria (Steiermarken and Corinthia) and parts of Slovenia frost and snow have caused heavy damage.
