New line of organic cut microgreens debuted

To complement their popular line of living products, Urban Produce has introduced a new line of organic cut microgreens. Urban Produce’s organic cut microgreens are now available for wholesale purchase through the following distributors: West Central Produce, Harvest Sensations, Fresh Point, Ingardia Bros. and Family Tree.

“All our products are conceptualized with culinary professionals in mind,” commented Danielle Horton, Director of Marketing of Urban Produce. “Precision and quality are key in the kitchen; our new line of cut microgreens speaks to that need by presenting busy kitchens with a fast, fresh alternative to our living microgreens, allowing them to cut down prep and plating times.”

Urban Produce cut microgreens are now available in the following varieties:

Blends:
  • Organic Kale-ifornia™ Microgreens: This nutritionally dense “superfood” mix features Premier Kale and Red Garnet Amaranth, touted for its brilliant pink color.
  • Organic Wasabi-Bok Choy Microgreens: A slightly spicy mix of Wasabi Mustard, Bok Choy, and Sango Purple Radish Microgreens.
  • Organic Hot Mama’ Microgreens: This blend of pink, purple, white and green stemmed radish will add a kick of heat to any dish.
Organic Single Varieties:
  • Arugula
  • Broccoli
  • Cilantro
  • Champion Radish
  • Purple Slaw (Purple Cabbage)
  • Sorrell
Much like their living product line, Urban Produce’s cut microgreens are organic, non-GMO, and pack up to six times the amount of vitamins C, E, K, and beta-carotene than their fully grown counterparts. They’re grown, harvested, packaged and shipped from their sustainable, indoor vertical farm in Irvine, California.
