New: Amsterdam Produce Show and Conference

The Amsterdam Produce Show and Conference is a brand-new event in the Netherlands. From 2 to 4 November 2016 the international fresh production and the flower community will be brought together in the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam for a three-day event. The event is organised and hosted by the founders of the award-winning New York Produce Show and Conference and the London Produce Show and Conference.

Room for 150 exhibitors
The Amsterdam Produce Show and Conference (APS) is a three-day event that brings the world of production to the beating heart of the industry – the trade junction of the fruit, the vegetable and the flower industry. This is a trade fair like no other. During the event an exclusive, one-day trade exhibition for exhibitors will be central. This will take place in the iconic Gashouder on the Westergasterrein. Exhibitors will present their products, brands and innovative concepts to buyers from retail, foodservice, wholesale and the processing sectors, as well as visitors working in the industry from all over the world. They will gain access to a number of high-quality networking events, educational seminars and a breakfast panel where leaders, hosted by ‘The Perishable Pundit’ Jim Prevor, will discuss and brainstorm.

An extensive student programme connects the industry with the next generation, demonstrations from top chefs bring local chefs into contact with the industry supplying them their healthiest products and an opening gala with a cocktail reception will be the social occasion of the event. On the final day, a series of tours to local production and flower locations, as well as retail, foodservice and foodie destinations throughout the Netherlands, will take place.

The New York Produce Show and Conference already took place six times; the latest show in the Javits Centre Manhattan attracted more than 5,000 people. The London Produce Show and Conference in London was also very successful, over 1,600 people came to the Mayfair Hotel. This year the unique, intimate event will come to the Netherlands and has adjusted itself to the Dutch market.

Jim Prevor, editor in chief of Produce Business, the magazine behind the shows, says: “Amsterdam was a completely logical choice, given the fact that the Netherlands has been a market leader in fresh production and the flower industry for a long time already. Whether that is due to the incredible research and development programmes, the good production processes, the expert-level scientific institutes, the world-famous trade model or the innovative and enriching logistic models. We think this show will give the Dutch industry the chance to reassert its position at the top of the worldwide production industry – we invite the rest of the world to learn in Amsterdam, to share and meet and perhaps most important of all: to do business with their Dutch colleagues and partners.”

“We have already proven that our distinctive model gives people the opportunity to connect, build partnerships and improve themselves and their companies. For more than a century, this wonderful industry has relied heavily on its Dutch partners to gain access to Europe and further – our event will offer a commercial and cultural experience in the heart of all we do.”

This event is the ideal opportunity for you to pursue both national and international ambitions and to expand your network with important parties from the sector.
