New name and website for French asparagus

Whilst production began three weeks in advance in the early production regions, others such as the Lot, Dordogne, Aude and Val de Loire have remained within a normal production calendar. Harvest in the South of France has achieved a steady pace, which if the weather allows it, should continue until the start of June. The current spring weather has allowed for an increase in volume over all of the French production regions.

French asparagus producers in the National Asparagus Association have decided on a new name : Asperges de France (Asparagus from France), and they have a new website :www.asperges-de-france.fr . Asperges de France is made up of 7 producer organisations that represent almost 200 asparagus producers.
