Germans like their frozen food

The per capita consumption of frozen products has risen to a new record high during the last year.

Germans consumed 43.6 kilos of frozen food in 2015. And that is, according to the German Frozen Food Institute (DTI), 1.4 kilos more than the previous year.

The total sales increased by 3.7% to 3,543 million metric tons. The revenue increased 4.2% to 13,325 billion Euro.

The frozen fruit range, including juices increased strongly with a plus of 6.7%. But all other ranges of frozen food showed a positive development too.
