Temperatures take a plunge in South Africa
According to one grower in the north of the country the weather has indeed taken a cold turn, "It is cold, the temperature has dropped down to the around 20ÂșC." The normal temperature for this time of the year would be in the high 20's. He also said that there has been a little more rain.
Although the temperature was lower than average there was no danger of any damage being caused to fruit.
Down in the Cape it was still warm today but they were expecting the cold front to move down from the north. The Cape also saw some much needed rain, around 30mm fell over the Easter weekend.
