The Austrian potato trade is very stable, and the potato sales proceed at a continuous pace. And due to the good quality of the potatoes the producers don’t feel the need to speed up the sales. The even demand supports this development.
This resulted in satisfactory price levels that have not been affected by the weak export situation. Waxy varieties sell for about 220 Euro per metric ton. The international market is stable too; the prices remained stable except for a slight increase in the Netherlands.
