Taiwan pineapple imports increased nearly six-fold in Xiamen Port

In recent years, the quality of Taiwan fruit has been gradually recognized by the mainland market, and the import volume of Taiwan fruits continue to rise. According to the statistics data from Xiamen Customs, Xiamen Port imported a total of 5447.2 tons of Taiwan fruits from January to February this year, an increase of 42.96% as compared with the volume of the same period last year.

These fruits are worth the value of 71.666 million Yuan, or a 60.48% increase as compared with the value of the same period last year. Among all the fruit categories, the most rapid growing one is pineapple.

In January and February, the total import volume reached 2565.5 tons, an increase of 5.7 times as compared with that of last year.
