Yesterday, 100 tons of apples were exported from Luping County ( Yuncheng city) to United States by Shanxi Yummy Sunco Agricultural Development Co., Ltd ,which has signed long-term supply contract with the United States.
On June 2, 2015, 20.2 tons of apples departed from Wanrong city to US, and this was the first time that Chinese apples gained access to the American market. It is understood that this is the first time that China has exported such a large volume of apples. All these apples are grown in Pinglu county.
Based on the contract, the monthly export volume is expected to reach 200 tons. As the national quality and safety demonstration area for apple export, Ping Lu County's fruit growing area reaches 23,333 hectares, of which the apple planting area has reached 16,666 hectors.
