Costa Rica's National Banana Corporation (Corbana) and the Association for Research and Integrated Management of Banana and Plantain (Acorbat) are organizing the Sixth International Conference on Banana.
The goal of the event is for experts to exchange their knowledge and to discuss the challenges that the banana sector faces worldwide. More than 35 specialists will attend the event.
One of the main topics to be discussed at the conference is the Fusarium Race 4, as it is one of the worst diseases in banana plantations.
In addition, scientists will discuss issues related to scientific research, banana policy, environmental management, logistics, marketing, and innovation of the banana industry.
The conference, which will include the participation of at least 600 people, will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Downtown Miami, Florida, from April 19 to the 22.
