Taiwanese pineapples enter China

As of February 16, a total of 370 tons of pineapples have been imported from Taiwan, which is already a 35% increase in comparison with the total volume of last February.

In 2015, Dongdu Port in Xiamen City imported 18,700 tons of Taiwan Pineapples, an explosive increase of 170% compared to last year. Generally speaking, Taiwan pineapple harvest season is between February to June. Import volumes can reach on average 2,000 tons per month. April is peak season, during which import can go up to 7,000 tons.

A local shipping company has opened a new "mini three links" route on February 18, hoping that Taiwan's pineapple imports will continue to grow.
