AU: Proposed new R&D/biosecurity citrus levy moves one step closer
As part of its review of the proposal to increase
the citrus R&D levy to $3.20/t and the PHA
biosecurity levy to $0.30/t (a total increase of
$1.50/t), the Department of Agriculture and Water
Resources is providing a six week period for
lodgements of objections or support.
Levy payers wishing to object should clearly outline which aspects of the levy proposal they are objecting to, list reasons why the levy is opposed, and provide suitable supporting argument and evidence, together with the contact details of those making the objections.
Submissions must be received by 5pm, March 18, AEST.
