Landgard at Fruit Logistica:

Successful new ideas and sales concepts

Landgard looks back on a very successful Fruit Logistica in Berlin. All three days of the fair were very busy at the Landgard stand in hall 20. The focus was on the modern, international marketing producers' cooperative with more than 3,200 members. Many national and international visitors were interested in the diverse and new sales concepts that Landgard presented at Fruit Logistica this year. Their interest was also reflected in the many discussions about the future with important customers.

The start of a joint venture in China
Landgard has reached a new milestone in the internationalization of the cooperation at the Fruit Logistica. On Wednesday they signed, together with their partner Rayen, a joint venture with a representative in China. With the start of the company in China the customer base and connections with suppliers in Asia will expand. The process is actively supported by the Chinese government. And that is why the Chinese Ambassador to Germany, Shi Mingde, came to the Landgard stand to sign the agreement.

I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
On Thursday there was a special visit of two former participants of “I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!” Melanie Müller and Micaela Schäfer the two previous inhabitants of the jungle created quite a stir. Landgard presented at the Fruit Logistica for the first time tropical fruit such as pomelo, pitahaya and nashi pears which were already know from the RTL-Show “I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!” In addition, the cooperation had Melanie Müller present the East German products, now in supermarkets, to the public.

Barbecuing with Weber
Landgard presented another concept of the cooperation, the premium barbecue brand Weber. For this partnership Landgard and Weber have created a new balanced and comprehensive range of products, which can be prepared on the barbecue.
Furthermore Landgard presented its own concept brands „Deutschland schmeckt“ (“Tasty Germany”), FARMGUT (Farmgood) as well as the new “Smoothie App“ and other innovative ideas that tell the stories behind the products. And so offer real additional value to the products along the entire chain. “After the IPM fair in Essen the Fruit Logistica has shown that our strategy to generate attention for the products of our members, with modern innovative and somewhat cheeky concepts, is the right way,” states Armin Rehberg, CEO of Landgard. “With constant new ideas and partnerships – regional, national and international – we improve our member companies and our position as a modern marketing producers' cooperative for Flowers & Plants and Fruit & Vegetables.”
