Peruvian blueberry exports increased by 236%

According to the Department of Commercial Intelligence Association (Adex), La Libertad's blueberry exports between January and November 2015 recorded a turnover of about US $76,950,417, i.e. 236% more than in the same period of 2014.

Total shipments of this product at the national level amounted to US $81,921,547. The most important markets for this fruit were the United States with US $ 43,938,221, followed by the Netherlands with US $21,328,638, the United Kingdom with US $ 9,163,186, Hong Kong with US $ 1,231,158 Singapore with US $ 308,938 and Spain with US $ 239,106, among others.

Blueberry exports were one of La Libertad's most notorious increases in agricultural product exports, as the department managed to be the country's undisputed leaders in blueberry exports with over 90% of national exports. They are followed by Ancash with a 3% stake, Lima with 2%, and Ica with 1%.
