Australian artist makes art from fruit and veg

Is it a basketball? No, its a tangerine! Is it a meat grinder? No, its a cucumber! Danling Xiao makes cheerful, bright art from fruits and vegetables.

On Xiao's website, Mundane Matters, she says that she started using instagram because of depression. With small words and pictures she escaped the pain of her depression. By making everything small, she was able to keep her head above water.

Xiao has something unique to offer with her fresh produce art. For the Australian Open she made a cup and various tennis balls. On other occasions Xiao writes anecdotes or life lessons.
