Peru: Camposol signs agreements with unions

After a sustained dialogue and having reaffirmed the good labor relations promoted by the company, the representatives of Camposol SA and its three unions (Planta, Campo, and SITECASA) signed their respective collective agreements, which will benefit all workers of the company.

This successful negotiation process was closed in a record time of four months, as it started in August and ended in December (the last process in 2012 lasted nearly eleven months). As a sign of its goodwill and flexibility towards dialogue, the company even accepted the union's request to advance the negotiating process.

This is the first time in the history of Camposol and the Peruvian agribusiness that a collective bargaining process has been closed through direct negotiation; that is, requiring the intervention of the Ministry of Labor (extra process) or an arbitration process.

Martin Merino Gilvonio, manager of Human Resources, said that, regarding the company's objectives, which include a social responsibility work with its partners and other interest groups, the signing of the agreement helped them have a more stable outlook for the next three years.

Some of the most important agreements are: remunerative increase, based on the time each employee has worked with the company, which will give the increases a sense of meritocracy and recognition. Delivering a school pack to each of the worker's children that go to school. Delivering a nutritional pack to pregnant workers. Increasing the school loan.

In addition, the pregnant workers will be recognized the days they have birth control appointments. Paid leave to the workers that have worked for five years, among others.

Thus, Camposol reaffirms it believes dialogue and good industrial relations are key tools to achieve having good relations with its employees and with its environment, which is essential for the proper performance of the company.
