Clementines: decreasing availability
The availability of clementines kept on decreasing. The Spanish Clemenules and the Moroccan Nour varieties formed the main part of the range. The availability of satsumas decreased too, there were only a few Turkish batches of satsumas available. Mandarins dominated the range now, mainly Spanish Clemenvilla and Nadorcott and Orri from Israel. The Orri were expensive, but nevertheless they could easily be sold. Mandarins from Morocco completed the range.

While last week high-priced Italian mandarins were only available in Frankfurt, now normal batches are available in Munich, for about half the price.

The cold winter weather led to an increase in demand that could usually be satisfied; overall the demand was rather low. Nevertheless the prices remained stable if the quality of the products was good enough.

In some places the prices of Spanish mandarins went down slightly. In Berlin and Hamburg some batches with inconsistent quality caused problems, which of course had a negative impact on the sales.
