"Week 6: first Brazilian Fuerte avocados to be shipped"

Jaguacy Brazil will ship the first Fuerte avocados in week 6, "The avocados are planned to arrive in week 8/9 in Rotterdam. We start with Fuerte for a month. The first Hass avocados will be shipped in week 9/10, and will arrive in week 14/15 in Rotterdam," says Ron Jongejan.

"This year we expect to handle 20 containers of Hass avocados per week from April to June. After June, the volumes from Brazil will fall. The season will run until the end of September, as long as the conditions remain good," says Ron. Jaguacy ships the following sizes: 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, and 22 in 4 kg boxes (264 packages on a pallet), and 26, 28, 30, and 32 in 10 kg boxes (117 packages on a pallet).

The avocados are shipped with a dry matter content of 23%, which means they are ready-to-eat, "Together with our logistics service provider, Cool Control in Maasdijk, we can offer more transport options and various packaging," says Ron.
