Excellent welcome from the fruit and vegetable sector

MAC Fruit Attraction presented in Cairo

This week, the first edition of MAC Fruit Attraction,
a new global brand in the fruit and vegetable
sector, was presented in Cairo. The trade fair
will take place from 4 -7 May 2016 in the
framework of FoodAfrica, organised by IFP Group,
thus covering the Middle East and North Africa.

MAC Fruit Attraction, the result of an alliance between IFEMA, organiser of Fruit Attraction, and Cesena Fiera, which is responsible for Macfrut, is a new platform that will encourage the positioning and international professional network of fruit and vegetable companies by giving direct access to new, strategic markets, and facilitating contact with local operators and the area of influence.

MAC Fruit Attraction will be a global brand with power to attract international visitors, tailored to meet each market's needs and idiosyncrasies.

Around 100 industry professionals attended the event, including representatives from the Spanish and Italian embassies, who stressed the importance of encouraging these types of initiatives to drive trade relations between the countries involved. Fruit Attraction and Macfruit have shown their commitment to provide a platform that will give participants access to new markets.

Ali Essa, president of the Egypt Agricultural Export Council, confirmed his support for the project, “certain that this will be a magnificent opportunity for both new companies who want a presence in the area, and for the development of trade relationships which will give the sector an important boost.”

In the meantime, Adrien Clavel, CEO of IFP, which organises FoodAfrica, confirmed the excellent prospects for the Trade Fair and underlined the importance of an event like MAC Fruit Attraction to offer a more comprehensive range of products to buyers in the Mena area.

Dalia Kabbel, manager of FoodAfrica and MAC Fruit Attraction Mena, stressed the commitment to guarantee the effectiveness of the Trade Fair by way of a significant hosted buyer programme and different activities to establish contacts with exhibitors, as well as other tools and initiatives.
