Packaging Automation to demonstrate low energy tray sealers

This year at Fruit Logistica in Berlin, Packaging Automation, a UK manufacturer of tray sealing and pot filling and sealing machinery, will be exhibiting what the company considers to be 'the fastest most energy efficient single lane tray sealing machine on the market today, which produces the lowest cost per pack'.

The Revolution machine has been specifically designed for packing all varieties of fruit and vegetables and incorporates truly novel technology, enabling it to surpass all previous single lane tray sealing products with speeds of up to 200 packs per minute, which is at least 40% faster than the closest competing product and 20% quicker than high speed twin lane machines.

Featuring PA’s PowerdriveTM technology, the Revolution is a fully electric machine and operates without using any compressed air, therefore offering savings of up to 98% of the running costs of conventional pneumatically operated tray sealers. This enables fresh produce producers to demonstrate a real commitment to environmental issues, while delivering tangible improvements to the bottom line.
