Paraguay increased its free of HLB citrus seedlings

After having suspended the presentation of a batch of citrus seedlings free of HLB for more than a month, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) of Paraguay presented on Thursday 3,500 citrus seedlings free of Huanglongbing (HLB) in Cabañas, Caacupé. The production belongs to the Association of Agricultural Producers and Sellers of Cabañas, which brings together 19 greenhouses.

According to ABC COLOR, the seedlings are a propagation material produced by small farmers in Cabañas, and audited by the National Quality and Plant Health and Seeds (Senave). It is worth noting that the seedlings from the Trociuk and Frutika nurseries have had this certification since 2014. Minister Jorge Gattini, the newly appointed head of Senave, Alfredo Gryciuk, the head of Agricultural Credit, Amanda Leon, and local authorities attended the event held on Thursday.
