The Peruvian mango season is currently going through a very intense period, with soaring sales compared to those of the previous season.

Total volumes so far this year have reached 561 containers, which is 6 times more than the 90 containers exported in the same period of the previous season.

Most Peruvian mangoes are exported to Europe. The Netherlands is the most important destination, with 48% of the exports during week 50. In the same week, two treatment plants were certified to export to Japan, and during weeks 52 and 53 the first two plants will also be certified to export to Korea. Furthermore, there are already 8 plants certified to ship to the United States.

A total of 43 exporters control the industry in Peru, of which the largest are Atlantic Fruits PerĂº, Sunshine Exports and Asica Farms (with approximately 9% of the market share each). The main importers are Amazon Produce, Verdi Import, Minor, Weir & Willis, Wealmoor, Global Producer and Mex y Can.
