Based in Plougastel-Daoulas, Savéol is the French leader in tomatoes. The Finistère based cooperative is launching an ambitious investment programme to set up innovative tools for their packaging site in Guipavas. €80,000 will be subsidised by the Région Bretagne and the project will create 12 job opportunities.
In order to develop in the snacking market, Savéol needs packaging that will optimise tomato expiry dates. The new packaging has a thermo-glued film and a cover, offering better protection and allowing the fruit to breathe.
The Région Bretagne is assisting this innovative project with up to 15% , and Europe will bring another 16%.
