Fox Solutions unveiled the latest NEWTEC 10-head weigher, the 4010XXB1 “Conweigher” at this year’s Fresh Summit in Atlanta, Ga. This cutting edge, high performance weigher uses new conveyor belt technology to provide produce packhouses with optimal packaging efficiencies and the best tool-less cleaning and service.
The 4010XXB1 weigher’s efficiency is based on its ability to handle more bulk product at a time, resulting in a higher output volume. Traditionally, weighers that deal with large product and portions use vibrating technology to move the product through the line, but for this weigher, conveyor belts result in a much faster production time. The food grade belting and plastics can be quickly removed without tools for easy cleaning and sanitation, adding extensive food safety benefits.
Efficiencies are also found in the weigher’s capability to proficiently handle heavier items than previous generation machines, anything weighing 10 lbs. to 50 lbs. Because of its conveyor belt technology, the NEWTEC 4010XXB1 can pack 50 lb. weighments at 20 per minute, saving total packaging time and increasing productivity.
