Aksu jujube export

Ten years ago Aksu (Xinjiang province) rapidly started to develop jujube cultivation. Last year, the revenue of the whole local agricultural fruit industry was 3701 Yuan per capita, accounting for 3% or more of the farmers income. After ten years of development, the growing area amount in Aksu stabilized at 300,000 hectares, of which 130,000 hectares are used for cultivating jujubes. The yearly jujube output is almost one million tons.

Wang Hongming, director general of jujube cooperative Akesu Wan Luyuan, has profound experience when it comes to to the quality problem of jujubes. In recent years, cooperatives formulated a higher standard than the local jujube cultivation standard. There are 200 jujube hectares that use pipettes to implement organic fertilizers and manure. This system effects the jujube production standardization.

For the past several years, the Aksu jujube industry continues to expand the scale of cultivation by steering intensive processing and opening up the marketplace, due to this the industry is restructuring and upgrading. Currently, Aksu has market platforms in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Changchun and Hangzhou. More than 30 cities in the country have opened direct sales franchise areas for jujubes. The sales network is expanding to the second and third rank cities. The product is also sold in Southeast Asia.
