China: Hebei fresh produce airport hub extension to commence

A new logistics hub will be created near the airport of Hefei, East of Shanghai. The new centre will occupy 175 hectares. The project will start this November.

There will also be work done on the airport so that larger quantities of fresh fruit and vegetables can be directly imported via airfreight.

Besides that, the local government has also invested in a 300 million Yuan fresh produce logistics centre to cover the region. Tax income is estimated to reach 10 million Yuan a year.
