"The new cooling van constitutes a great help to our panel, as now we can deliver food products to their destination fast and without loss of quality. In the name of all employees, we can thank IFCO for their support," says Ursula Höhn.
In the course of the initiative WORLDWIDE RESPONSIBILITY, IFCO is involved in funding panel cooling vans and has currently co-funded around 40 vehicles for panels. Furthermore, panels nationwide are already using over 69,000 reusable containers (RPCs) from the firm IFCO for delivering and storing the needed food products. The free granting of RPCs enables the panels to considerably reduce the packaging waste that had been accruing up until now.
The combination of reusable containers and cooling vans furthermore guarantees the key factor for food: freshness. “Hygiene and freshness are the decisive factors in logistic operations involving fruit and vegetables,” says Wolfgang Orgeldinger, CEO of IFCO SYSTEMS. “We are happy to support the panels on a global level through WORLDWIDE RESPONSIBILITY in the future as well”.
