Weather conditions cause decrease in Tunisian citrus production

The Deputy Director of the Regional Agricultural and Fishing Union in Nabeul has declared that the climate is one of the main factors contributing to a decrease in citrus fruit this year. Spring was short this year and the change from winter to summer was harsh. Harvest forecasts have yet to be carried out, last year’s production was estimated to reach 460,000 tons. Farmers also had problems last year selling their goods.
