Banana growing countries depend heavily on the income of their bananas in order to support their respective economies while also being the primary industrial sources of employment for a large majority of their citizens. Unfortunately, these countries also suffer from one of the most damaging and costly of banana diseases, Black sigatoka. Plants with leaves damaged by the disease may suffer up to 50% lower yield of fruit. As such, these plants are being sprayed as much as 70 times per year! This increases the impact not only on the environment, but also the end-user and the surrounding community.
Thanks to Timorex Gold, the banana growers could now achieve a chemical load reduction while still maintaining and even increasing the ROI (return on investment) that end-users and the farming community strive for continuously!
