"Landgard: "Recognize and utilize trends"

In the trade journal supplement “Erfolgsfaktor Agrarwirtschaft” of September 24, an interview with Landgard chairman Armin Rehberg was published. The Landgard CEO takes a stand regarding the success factors in the green industry, the special character of a producer’s association and the differences with pure trading companies. For success in the industry, Armin Rehberg mentions speed, quality, commitment, process efficiency and the power to innovate as being crucial to success. “We are working with highly sensitive products, that only arrive at our customers in optimal quality, because everything from QS-systems to commissioning and delivery checks out,” says Rehberg.

According to Rehberg, the special feature of the marketing producer’s association Landgard is that the company fully belongs to its members, and as a connection between producers and customers ensures first-hand sale and purchase. Contrary to pure companies, Landgard offers services along the entire value chain, from cultivation to marketing. As well as this it also includes the development of individual sales concepts such as “German horticultural products” or “I am a star – get me out of here”. “To recognize and utilize trends is crucial in fulfilling our responsibility as a marketing producer’s association. We conduct long-term business in terms of our members, together with our customers,” says Armin Rehberg.
