Potatoes week 38/15

Germany: Lower supplies – prices stable

The large and often stable supply matched the satisfactory demand. Due to rainfall the supply of potatoes to the market lowered. However the prices mainly remained stable. In Cologne the trade was slow, price reductions should change that and speed up the sales.

The supply in Berlin was too high. The traders were forced to lower the prices if they wanted to sell the potatoes quickly. In Munich only certain batches sold cheaper. Increased prices were rare.
