Sanlucar New Markets Director to speak at Cool Logistics Global congress

From September 29th to the 1st October, the Belgian city Bruges hosts the seventh edition of the Cool Logistics Global congress, internationally known as the biggest forum for discussions about the transport of perishable products.

The meeting brings together more than 250 professionals of the logistics and transport sector participate in this meeting, and for the first time the company SanLucar participates as speaker.

Under the title “Logistics as key for success. The experience of a global fresh produce operator”, Omar ElNaggar -New Markets Director in SanLucar- explains firsthand the importance of logistics in the global trade of fruits and vegetables and the managing of perishables across the globe.

This lecture will be delivered the morning of September 30th within the framework of the working session dedicated to analyze the present and the future of logistics solutions developed for transportation of perishable goods.

After its consolidation in the European market, the company SanLucar is currently immersed in the implementation of an expansion plan towards global markets such as China or Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). "To achieve this challenge -ElNaggar explains - the efficiency in the supply chain management of perishable goods such as fruit and vegetables plays a decisive role ".

The multinational company has its own production in Spain, South Africa, Ecuador and Tunisia, and its products are currently present in a total of 23 countries.
SanLucar trading operations move around the world more than 150,000 tons of fruit and vegetables.

"Given our volume of activity -says ElNaggar- our priority is to control the entire process, from picking fruit to the delivery to the point of sale for its final consumption. And within the entire chain, it is important to have an integrated logistics service reliable and competitive, ensuring the delivery of the highest possible quality".

He adds, "Thanks to our logistics department we have the best professionals to monitor air, sea and land transport of our goods, as well as customs management to guarantee that the supply chain is the fastest and most agile and efficient.”
