Coliman debuts organic bananas internationally

Coliman, a Mexican grower, packer and shipper of bananas and other assorted fruit, will begin shipping their organic bananas internationally. In addition to promoting the international expansion of their organic banana program, they will also promote the introduction of their fresh cut fruits and vegetables to the California market.

“In addition to our conventional and organic bananas, Coliman exports papayas, avocados, peppers and lemons around the world,” said Monica Armenta Ramirez of Coliman. “For 52 years, Coliman has given life to high quality products, starting with the seed and rich soil, to ensure that every piece arrives in optimal conditions.” They mostly ship to the United States and Canada, but their reach extends to Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan and China. This year, they will expand their organic banana program internationally as well as their fresh cut program.

“We will introduce our ready-to-eat fresh cut fruits and vegetables, principally in California,” said Ramirez. “We'll also be at the upcoming PMA Fresh Summit.
